Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its second list of candidates for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.
The new list has only one candidate.
Earlier, a re-revised list of candidates were released by BJP.
The elections in Jammu and Kashmir are set to occur in three phases: September 19, September 25, and October 1, with the results scheduled to be declared on October 4. This election cycle is particularly significant as it marks the first Assembly elections in the union territory since the abrogation of Article 370 and the bifurcation of the state into two union territories in 2019.
The last Assembly elections, held in 2014, saw the BJP securing 25 seats, while the PDP emerged as the single largest party with 28 seats.
