Resumption of daily flights connecting Belagavi with Delhi and Bengaluru announced

Some good news for Belagavi! IndiGo is all set to resume flights connecting Belagavi to two major metros—New Delhi and Bengaluru—starting next month. This announcement was made by BJP MP and former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar.
Shettar said he spoke to executives from IndiGo Airlines, who confirmed that daily flights from Belagavi to New Delhi will start on September 16, and flights to Bengaluru will begin on September 21.
“These services will help boost industry, tourism, and economic growth, not only in Belagavi, but also in nearby districts,” Shettar said. The routes were operational earlier but had been suspended for some time.
Belagavi is also set to get a new Vande Bharat Express train service to Bengaluru. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the train on August 10, with regular service starting the next day, running six days a week (except Wednesdays). The train is expected to improve rail connectivity between Karnataka’s capital and the northern part of the state.
Calling it a ‘historic milestone,’ Shettar thanked the Prime Minister on social media, saying the new flights and train service fulfil a long-standing dream for the people of Belagavi.
