The drone displays, choreographed with music, will depict iconic moments like Hanuman carrying Sanjeevani and the Ram Setu

Lucknow: This year’s Deepotsav in Ayodhya will offer a spectacular blend of tradition and modern technology, featuring 1,100 indigenous drones illuminating the skies to depict iconic scenes from the Ramayana, alongside 3-D holographic laser shows and the lighting of over 26 lakh earthen lamps.
The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department announced that choreographed musical drone displays and 3-D holographic laser performances will take place on October 18 and 19, promising devotees a captivating visual experience. The festivities will be further enhanced by the glow of more than 26 lakh earthen lamps across 56 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh highlighted that the domestically developed drones will create stunning aerial formations illustrating scenes such as "Jai Shri Ram", "Lord Ram with bow", "Hanuman carrying the Sanjeevani mountain", "Ram Setu", and the "Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple."
The accompanying 3-D holographic laser show will bring these images to life with music and light effects, delivering a near-realistic experience to the audience.
Singh said, “The Department of Tourism and Culture has always prioritised the fusion of faith, tradition, and innovation. Last year, a grand drone show featuring 500 drones was organised for the first time. To make Deepotsav 2025 even more magnificent, a new show with 1,100 drones has been planned.” He also mentioned an additional drone show on October 18, ahead of the main event.
The laser show, themed 'Treta Yug se Nav Ayodhya Tak' (From the Treta Era to New Ayodhya), will symbolically link the city’s ancient spiritual heritage with its modern transformation, showcasing the values and legacy of Lord Ram using cutting-edge technology.
Deepotsav celebrations will culminate in Ayodhya on October 19, a day before Diwali.
