New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any information leading to the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, officials stated on Friday.

Anmol, under NIA surveillance for his alleged involvement in an April shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai, has also been added to the agency’s most-wanted list, according to officials.

Nicknamed Bhanu, Anmol is believed to be residing in Canada and frequently traveling to the US, with the bounty on him announced last month. He is also suspected to be behind the recent murder of former Maharashtra Minister Baba Siddique in Mumbai’s Bandra on October 12.

In connection with the shooting incident outside Khan's residence, a Mumbai court recently denied bail to one of the accused, noting that the act was committed with "intention or knowledge" to harm Khan at Anmol’s behest.

Both Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi, natives of Fazilka in Punjab, are listed as wanted suspects in the case. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently in custody at Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat.

In April, a lookout circular was issued against Anmol, who allegedly claimed responsibility for the shooting outside Khan’s residence. An FIR was filed by the NIA in August 2022, naming nine accused, including the Bishnoi brothers, for allegedly conspiring to "raise funds, recruit youth to conduct terrorist activities in Delhi and other regions" and planning "targeted killings of prominent figures".
