New Delhi: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has announced the postponement of the Bharat Bandh scheduled for October 3, citing overlapping religious festivals in some states, according to an official statement.
An emergency meeting of the Board’s office bearers was convened under the chairmanship of Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, President of AIMPLB.
Following a detailed review of the situation, the decision to postpone the Bharat Bandh was taken unanimously. The Board stated that new dates will be announced soon.
Despite the postponement, the Board confirmed that its protest movement against the Waqf Amendment Act will continue as planned, and all other programs and activities will proceed on their originally scheduled dates.
