Air Kerala.com is all set to commence operations by March 2025. The airline is hopeful about the deadline on the backdrop of a pivotal meeting with the minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, along with senior officials from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). During the meeting the minister assured the airline senior management of his full support for the launch.
Naidu marked this meeting as a significant milestone in Indian aviation industry. “The Government is ready to provide all necessary assistance to ensure the airline secures its approvals and launches successfully, said the minister.
During the meeting various operational strategies and regulatory requirements were discussed.
The minister went ahead to praise the chairman of Air Kerala.com, Mr Afi Ahmed for his extensive experience in the travel and tourism sector. “Mr. Afi Ahmed’s expertise will be instrumental in enhancing Kerala’s tourism and aviation landscape,” Naidu added.
Other key highlights of the meeting were
- Ayub Kallada, vice chairman of Air Kerala.com highlighting the airline’s focus on improving cargo and perishable goods transportation between Kerala and other regions.
- Discussion on future plans for introducing seaplane services to boost regional tourism in Kerala.
- CEO, Harish Kutty presented the airline’s commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and top-tier service
- Presented a roadmap for route expansions, market share growth, and strategic partnerships, all aimed at securing Air Kerala.com’s place as a premium airline.
Apart from the above discussion the Air.Kerala.com team were well appreciated by the ministry and regulators alike and were assured full support from the DGCA for the airline’s regulatory approval process.
