The 2026 AI Impact Summit is underway in New Delhi, an event set to become one of the largest artificial intelligence gatherings ever held in the Global South. The summit brings together world leaders, senior officials, and top executives from leading technology firms to discuss the future of AI governance, safety, and innovation.

Some of the most influential figures from the tech industry attending the event include:

  • Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI
  • Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google DeepMind
  • Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic
  • Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries
  • Salil Parekh, CEO & MD, Infosys
  • Sridhar Vembu, Co-founder and Chief Scientist, Zoho Corporation

Political leaders in attendance

Among the most prominent leaders attending the summit are French President Emmanuel Macron and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, several other heads of state and government will join at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including:
