Malayalam actor Naslen has expressed solidarity with Sonam Wangchuk by sharing a video of the July 18 Jantar Mantar crackdown on Instagram, becoming the second actor after Parvathy Thiruvothu to publicly back the activist.

Malayalam actor Naslen has extended his support to activist Sonam Wangchuk by sharing a video on his Instagram Story showing the chaotic scenes that unfolded at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on July 18, when Delhi Police forcibly removed Wangchuk from the protest site.
With the post, Naslen became the second Malayalam actor after Parvathy Thiruvothu to publicly speak out in support of the activist.
Earlier, Thiruvothu had strongly condemned the police action, describing it as an 'abduction of our rights.'
'Abduction of our voices. When the protectors become the abusers, we better remind them that we will never let OUR India be run by crooks and liars. Solidarity and support to the brave citizens at Jantar Mantar and across the country,' she wrote on Instagram.
Support for Wangchuk has also poured in from several members of the Hindi film industry.
Actors Hrithik Roshan and Sonakshi Sinha, along with musician Vishal Dadlani, were among those who shared posts after Wangchuk was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital from the protest site on Saturday morning.
The activist has been on an indefinite hunger strike for 21 days after joining the Cockroach Janata Party's (CJP) protest demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.
The visuals from Jantar Mantar and the subsequent police action have triggered widespread debate on social media, with several public figures expressing solidarity with Wangchuk and the protesters.
