A special test was conducted, and the top six performers from each class were selected for the trip.

In a remarkable act of generosity, Beerappa Andagi, the headmaster of a government school in Bahadduribandi village, Koppal district, Karnataka, personally funded air travel for 24 students, allowing them their first-ever flight experience. Spending Rs 5 lakh from his own savings, he arranged a special flight from Toranagallu's Jindal Airport to Bengaluru for the students of the Government Higher Primary School.
The initiative included students from Classes 5 to 8, accompanied by teachers, mid-day meal staff, and members of the School Development and Monitoring Committee, bringing the total group to 40. A special test was conducted, and the top six performers from each class were selected for the trip. For many students, this was their first time boarding an aircraft, having previously only seen planes flying overhead.
During their two-day stay in Bengaluru, the group visited educational institutions and tourist attractions, gaining exposure beyond their village environment. The heartwarming gesture has received widespread praise across the region, highlighting the headmaster’s commitment to providing memorable and enriching experiences for his students.
