Thrissur: Kerala Police have shared preliminary observations regarding the bank heist that occurred in Thrissur district on Friday. The incident, which took place during the lunch break between 2:00 and 2:30 pm, saw a swift execution of the crime.

At precisely 2:12 pm, the perpetrator entered the premises. During this time, all staff members were in the dining hall for lunch, with only the peon outside. Armed with a kitchen knife, the robber threatened the peon before heading to the cash counter, which contained Rs 47 lakh. Surprisingly, the perpetrator only took three bundles, amounting to Rs 15 lakh, instead of the full sum.

The individual is reported to have spoken in Hindi and appeared familiar with the premises, suggesting prior knowledge of the bank's layout. He carried out the crime in just two to three minutes, making a quick getaway on a two-wheeler.
