A shocking case of gang rape involving senior executives of an IT firm has emerged from Rajasthan’s Udaipur, with police arresting the company’s CEO, a woman executive head, and her husband for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman manager inside a car.

The incident occurred on the night of December 20, but came to light three days later after the survivor approached the police with disturbing evidence, including dashcam footage that allegedly captured the crime.

According to the police complaint, the survivor, an IT firm manager, attended the birthday party of Jitesh Prakash Sisodia, Chief Executive Officer of GKM IT, at a hotel in Udaipur’s Shobagpura area. The party reportedly began around 9 pm and continued until 1.30 am, during which alcohol was consumed by those present.

When the survivor’s health began to deteriorate late at night, Sisodia, the firm’s woman executive head, Shilpa Sirohi, and her husband, Gaurav Sirohi, offered to drop her home. Police said Gaurav was driving the car, while Sisodia, Shilpa, and the survivor were seated in the back seat.

During the journey, the accused allegedly stopped the car and purchased a substance resembling cigarettes from a shop, which was then given to the survivor. She claimed she lost consciousness soon after consuming it.

The survivor alleged that while she was unconscious, all three accused took turns to rape her inside the car. Upon regaining consciousness, she noticed injuries on her body, severe pain in her private parts, and found that some of her jewellery, socks, and undergarments were missing.

A medical examination later confirmed sexual assault, noting injuries consistent with the survivor’s allegations.

In a crucial development, the survivor said she checked the car’s dashcam, which had recorded not only the assault but also conversations among the accused during the crime. She submitted this footage to the police while filing her complaint on December 23.

Based on the survivor’s statement, medical evidence, and the dashcam recording, Udaipur police arrested Jitesh Sisodia, Shilpa Sirohi, and Gaurav Sirohi. The accused were produced before a court and remanded to four days of police custody.

Police officials said a detailed investigation is underway, including forensic analysis of the footage and examination of other possible evidence.
