Police are examining claims that the accused woman secretly married her former boyfriend months before her engagement to the Pune businessman who later died.

The investigation into the Pune fort murder case has taken another dramatic turn, with fresh claims suggesting the prime accused had secretly married her former boyfriend months before getting engaged to the victim.
According to sources, 20-year-old Siya Goyal allegedly tied the knot with Chetan Chaudhary at a local registrar's office under the Special Marriage Act around four months before her engagement to Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal.
Investigators are now verifying whether an official marriage certificate exists as part of the ongoing probe.
If confirmed, the alleged marriage could become a significant piece of evidence, as Goyal later became engaged to 25-year-old Agarwal in February. The couple's wedding was scheduled for November, with arrangements reportedly already underway, including the booking of a hotel in Udaipur.
The case stems from the death of Agarwal, who fell from a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. Police believe his death was not accidental but the result of a planned conspiracy.
Investigators allege that Goyal did not want to go ahead with her marriage to Agarwal and plotted the crime with Chaudhary. Police claim Chaudhary followed the couple to the fort on the day of the incident and played a role in carrying out the alleged murder.
Both Goyal and Chaudhary were arrested days after Agarwal's death and are currently in judicial custody while the investigation continues.
Police are now focused on verifying the alleged secret marriage and examining how it may have influenced the events leading up to Agarwal's death.
