A deeply disturbing case of human trafficking and serial sexual assault involving a 13-year-old Class VIII student has surfaced in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan.

According to the police FIR, the minor went missing on June 18 after traveling to Srivijaynagar to visit a friend.

Upon arriving in Sri Ganganagar late at night, she hired an e-rickshaw driven by a man named Rambabu, expecting to be dropped home.

Instead, the driver kidnapped the girl and allegedly sold her to a local hotel owner.

Over a harrowing five-day period, she was trafficked across a network of local hotels and repeatedly assaulted by over 30 men.

The survivor revealed in the FIR that her captors forcibly administered alcohol to her whenever she experienced severe physical pain from the ongoing abuse.

Law Enforcement Response and Arrests

The victim was rescued by law enforcement from Hotel Joy Inn on June 22 after her family registered a missing person report.

An extensive investigation led by District Superintendent of Police Harishankar Yadav has uncovered a massive criminal ring operating within the local hospitality sector.

Total Arrests: 10 individuals have been detained so far, including hotel owner Mayank Sain, manager Hardeep Nath, and the e-rickshaw driver Rambabu.

Evidence Gathered: Police have seized DVR systems and CCTV footage from four identified establishments (including Hotel Joy Inn and an establishment named ‘Dream’). They are also scanning mobile phone records to track down the remaining suspects.

Establishment Crackdown: One hotel has been sealed, and authorities are reviewing the operational documents of other venues, noting that a massive network of illegal hotels exists in the district.

Local Backlash and Political Protest

The revelation of the crime has sparked intense public fury and widespread demands to shut down illegal lodging houses in Sri Ganganagar.

The opposition Congress party, led by Karanpur MLA Rupinder Singh Kunnar, organized a massive protest targeting the local administration and law enforcement for failing to police these establishments.

Protesters are demanding capital punishment for the perpetrators and the immediate suspension of local police officials for administrative failure.
