A chilling case involving allegations of abduction, forced religious conversion, and prolonged sexual abuse of a minor has surfaced from Mumbai’s Mira Bhayandar area under the Valiv police station limits.
Police said the 15-year-old girl was allegedly befriended by a local youth, identified as Javed, who later exploited the relationship. According to the complaint, the accused secretly recorded explicit photos and videos of the minor and used them to blackmail her into accompanying him to Madhya Pradesh.
Once taken out of Maharashtra, the girl was allegedly confined in a single-room accommodation in Madhya Pradesh for nearly six months, during which she was repeatedly sexually abused, officials said.
Investigators further revealed that the accused allegedly created a fake Instagram profile using the girl’s name and photographs, posting a so-called rate card to “auction” her online for sexual services.
The survivor has also alleged that she was forcibly converted to Islam and pressured to consume beef, deepening her trauma. Police sources said the abuse took place shortly after the death of her father, leaving the minor emotionally vulnerable.
