Kozhikode: A man stabbed his father to death in Balussery on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Chanora Ashokan. The accused, Subeesh, has been taken into custody by the police.

The incident came to light when a neighbour, noticing that the house remained unlit, checked inside and found Ashokan lying in a pool of blood. His body was later shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

Eight years ago, Ashokan's wife was murdered by Subeesh's brother. According to local residents, Subeesh had been displaying signs of mental issues and was also allegedly using drugs.
