A food delivery worker was arrested in Kochi after police allegedly seized 42 bottles containing over 21 litres of liquor from his residence.

Kochi: A delivery worker has been arrested in Kochi after police allegedly uncovered an illegal liquor sale operation that was being run under the guise of online food delivery.
The accused, identified as Libin, a native of Panayappilly, was arrested by the Mattancherry police. Officers seized 42 bottles containing more than 21 litres of liquor during a search of his residence, police said.
The action followed a confidential tip-off received by the police that Libin was allegedly selling liquor while using online food delivery as a cover.
Acting on the information, the Mattancherry police conducted a search at his house and recovered the liquor bottles.
A case has been registered in connection with the incident, and further legal proceedings will follow, police said.
