Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: The Venjaramoodu police station in the state capital was left stunned when 23-year-old Affan made a chilling confession, admitting to the brutal murders of six people, including his 13-year-old brother, Afsan, and his girlfriend.

Affan, who arrived at the Venjaramoodu police station around 5:30 pm, told the police that he had killed six close relatives across three different locations. "I ensured the death of my brother and girlfriend," he confessed to the officers. The police, initially shocked by the gravity of his confession, quickly informed higher authorities.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) immediately rushed to the station. Three teams were sent to inspect the locations mentioned by Affan, as the locations were in three different police jurisdictions. When the police reached there, they found victims lying in pools of blood.

He revealed that three murders took place in Perumala, two in Chullalam, and one in Pangode.

Police confirmed the deaths of five people at the locations specified by Affan. In Perumala, two people were found dead, and one was critically injured. Affan's grandmother, Salmabeebi, 88, was found dead at her home in Pangode.

Affan also confessed to killing his 13-year-old brother, Afsan and his female friend in Perumala. He also brutally murdered his paternal brother, Lateef, and Lateef's wife Shahida in S.N. Puram, Chullalam. After committing the brutal murders, Affan reportedly opened a gas cylinder, walked into the police station and confessed to the gruesome acts. He was later admitted to hospital after claiming that he had consumed poison

Affan, who had been living abroad with his father, returned to Kerala on a visiting visa. The authorities are now investigating further into the motives behind the horrifying killings. While the investigation is ongoing, police are also examining whether Affan had received help from anyone in carrying out these brutal acts.
