Kannur: In a shocking incident, a teacher was brutally attacked by two students on Teachers' Day at a school here on Thursday. 

The incident happened at Government Higher Secondary School in Pallikunnu when the teacher, an English instructor, asked the students to enter the classroom, as they were outside while the exam was underway.

The request led to a confrontation, which escalated into a violent assault. The two students, upset by the teacher's instruction, attacked him, causing severe injuries. 

As a result of the incident, the students were barred from writing their exams. School authorities have filed a formal complaint with the police, seeking action against the students involved in the attack.
