CCTV footage from a beauty salon has surfaced showing Twisha Sharma visiting hours before she was found dead at her in-laws’ home in Bhopal

Bhopal: Fresh CCTV footage showing Twisha Sharma visiting a beauty salon in Bhopal hours before her death has surfaced, adding a new dimension to the ongoing investigation into her alleged suicide.
Twisha Sharma was found hanging at her in-laws’ residence in Bhopal on May 12. The case has since triggered allegations of mental harassment and dowry-related abuse from her family against her husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh.
Salon visit captured hours before death
According to salon owner Kiran Parihar, Twisha visited the parlour on May 12 at around 3:12 pm and remained there for nearly three hours.
During her visit, she reportedly underwent a head massage and pedicure, leaving the salon around 6:15 pm
The CCTV footage that later surfaced on social media shows Twisha appearing calm and relaxed during her stay, with no visible signs of distress, according to those familiar with the footage.
Parihar stated that Twisha was a regular customer and had visited the salon multiple times in the past.
Mother-in-Law’s call and requests for details
The salon owner also said that Twisha’s mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh, contacted the salon the morning after her death.
Parihar said Singh repeatedly asked about Twisha’s exact arrival and departure times, whether any payment had been made, and whether there was proof of her visit.
She further said Twisha had not made a payment during that visit as she already had a prepaid package purchased earlier, around the time of her brother’s wedding.
Demand for CCTV footage and subsequent developments
Parihar claimed that Giribala Singh later specifically requested the CCTV footage after being informed that Twisha had died by suicide.
Shortly after, a group of five to six unidentified individuals dressed in black-and-white clothing resembling lawyers allegedly arrived at the salon, claiming to be acting on behalf of the police to collect the footage.
The CCTV recording was eventually extracted after a technician was called to the salon.
It has also been reported that CCTV technician Rohit Vishwakarma visited Giribala Singh’s residence late at night on May 12.
Arrest in Jabalpur after days on the run
In a related development, Samarth Singh, who had been missing for 10 days after the incident, was arrested on Friday in Jabalpur and brought to Bhopal early the next morning.
Police continue to investigate multiple angles in the case, including allegations raised by the victim’s family regarding harassment and dowry-related abuse.
The case remains under active investigation as officials examine CCTV footage, witness statements and digital evidence to determine the circumstances leading to Twisha Sharma’s death.
Authorities are yet to issue a conclusive statement as inquiries continue into the sequence of events on the day of the incident.
