Jallikattu celebrations in Tirupati turned risky as multiple people were injured and shifted to hospital

Several people were injured during Jallikattu celebrations held at Kotha Shanambatla in Tirupati district on Friday. According to officials, one participant suffered a fractured arm, another sustained a head injury, while a third person was injured near the lower neck area. Several others received minor injuries during the event.
The injured were transported in a 108 ambulance right away to the Ruia Hospital in Tirupati for medical attention. According to medical officials, the injured are getting the care they need.
A centuries-old bull-taming sport that is typically associated with Tamil Nadu and some parts of Andhra Pradesh, jallikattu attracts sizable crowds during festive occasions. Authorities have urged both participants and spectators to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures to prevent such incidents in future events.
