A gold-plated Bhagavad Gita, crafted at a cost of ₹2 crore, will be unveiled at Udupi’s Sri Krishna Temple

A rare, gold-plated edition of the Bhagavad Gita will be unveiled on January 8 at the renowned Sri Krishna Temple in Udupi.
The unveiling will be the highlight of Puttige Matadhisa Sri Sugunendratirtha Sripada's world-famous Chaturtha Pariyana ceremony. The sacred scripture, titled "Honnina Bhagavad Gita Langage," will be ceremonially offered at the Srikrishna Sannidhi.
The unique Bhagavad Gita, engraved on gold plates, was created by Sri Krishna devotees in Delhi for an estimated cost of ₹2 crore. It includes all 18 chapters and 700 verses.
The Honna Gita will be brought to the temple in a grand chariot procession, carried in a golden chariot, before being offered during the Rajangam ceremony in the presence of Sri Sugunendratirtha Sripada and junior Sri Sugunendratirtha Sripada.
Several prominent dignitaries are expected to attend, including Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders and Champat Roy, General Secretary of the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi Trust.
