Former university-level international hockey player Jagmeet Singh from Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar has successfully transformed his career from sports to modern farming. Once recognized for his achievements on the hockey field, Jagmeet now focuses on agriculture, using advanced farming techniques to boost crop yields and increase income. The shift came during the Covid-19 pandemic when his international business was severely affected. Returning to his village, he decided to make productive use of his time by adopting modern technology in farming. Today, he cultivates crops such as watermelons using imported seeds and innovative agricultural methods. Jagmeet says his farming venture has not only improved his own livelihood but has also created employment opportunities for local residents.
