Nayanthara reunites with Rajinikanth for 'Dharman', marking their fifth Tamil film together. Director Ashwath Marimuthu welcomed the actress on board.

Actress Nayanthara has joined the cast of Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Dharman', directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. The announcement marks another collaboration between the two stars, who have previously shared screen space in four Tamil films.
The film's production house, Raaj Kamal Films International, hinted at Nayanthara's involvement through a cryptic social media post on Sunday.
"Some Eyes say it all. THE CHARISMA ARRIVES I Today at 7:02 PM", the makers wrote, teasing the arrival of a new cast member.
Shortly afterwards, director Ashwath Marimuthu responded to the post, welcoming the actress to the project.
"Welcome on board mam," he wrote, accompanied by a red heart and hug emoji.
Nayanthara's addition to the cast has brought the two actors together once again after their previous collaborations in 'Chandramukhi' (2005), 'Kuselan' (2008), 'Darbar' (2020) and 'Annaatthe' (2021).
The film, which also stars Ram Pothineni and Raashii Khanna in prominent roles, has been progressing through its shooting schedules. In September, Marimuthu confirmed that the team had completed the third schedule of the film.
"3rd schedule Wrapped ! #Dharman," the director wrote on social media, sharing an update on the production.
Earlier, Raashii Khanna had offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at the film's Mysuru schedule. The actress posted a series of photographs featuring Rajinikanth and Ram Pothineni, capturing moments from their time together away from the sets.
Along with the pictures, she shared details of their daily routine, which included early morning workouts, temple visits, games and exploring the city.
"A little glimpse into the world I have been living in for a while now in Mysore. Early morning workouts with Rajini sir and Ram, because apparently the day starts before the day starts. A little temple hopping, a little wandering, some UNO and lots of laughter. And yes, the Mysore dosa deserved its own moment. #dharman."
On the technical front, 'Dharman' features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with Niketh Bommi handling cinematography and Pradeep E Raghav overseeing editing.
The film is backed by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran, with S Disney serving as co-producer. It is being produced under the banners of Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media.
