Jawanda’s wife had reportedly begged him not to take the ride that morning — a heartbreaking plea that now haunts those closest to him.

Punjabi music and film star Rajvir Jawanda, 35, has died after battling for life for nearly two weeks following a gruesome motorcycle accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.
Jawanda, known for chartbusters like Shaandaar, Kangani, and Raule, was riding his 1300cc superbike to Shimla when tragedy struck. According to eyewitnesses, he collided with stray cattle on the highway, causing him to lose control and crash.
He was rushed to a local hospital in Solan and later shifted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, where doctors placed him on life support.
Despite intensive treatment and specialist care, his condition deteriorated due to cardiac and neurological complications, leading to his passing late Tuesday night.
Sources close to the family revealed that his wife had pleaded with him not to go on the ride that day, worried about safety conditions on the route. “She begged him to cancel the trip,” said a close friend, “but he insisted he’d be careful.”
The devastating news has plunged the Punjabi entertainment industry into mourning. Musicians, actors, and fans flooded social media with tributes, remembering Jawanda as a humble soul with an unshakable passion for music.
Politicians, including Manish Sisodi, expressed condolences, calling his death “a heartbreaking loss for Punjabi culture and art.”
Jawanda, a former police officer-turned-singer, had carved a niche for himself with his powerful voice and rustic charm — a journey now tragically cut short.
