Actor Vinayakan has apologised for his insensitive comments against a female journalist during the press conference of the movie ‘Oruthee’. He said that his comments were not personal and he seeks forgiveness for the distress caused to the journalist.
He had said during the press conference that if he wants to have a physical relationship with any woman, he would directly ask them and that he is not aware of the #MeToo campaign. He then pointed fingers at the journalist and said he would even ask for a physical relationship with her if he feels like. His comments created quite an uproar within and outside the film industry.
Vinayakan, however, did not mention anything about his comments on MeToo allegations.
