Actor Vikram, known for his exceptional roles in Tamil cinema, recently shared his admiration for Malayalam films while promoting his upcoming movie 'Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2'. During the event, he highlighted his growing appreciation for Malayalam films, particularly with the rise of OTT platforms that have allowed him to explore a variety of new releases.

Vikram, who had previously shared that his wife is a big fan of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, found himself in a playful spot when asked which film his wife would prefer to watch first. With both Empuraan (starring Mohanlal) and Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 releasing on the same day, Vikram revealed, “I asked her which film she would watch first, and she said she will watch both films (Empuraan and Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2). I will watch both too, but I don’t know which one she will watch first. I speak a little bit of Malayalam; she speaks very well. Now, there is no Malayalam, Tamil, or Telugu, it’s all the same in India. Different languages, different cultures, let’s just enjoy it.”

The actor, who is eagerly anticipating the release of both L2: Empuraan and Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2 on March 27, expressed his hope that both films will receive equal love from audiences.

Vikram also praised Malayalam films, calling them "beautiful," and highlighted some of the recent releases he has enjoyed. He particularly singled out 'Marco', noting the lack of fight scenes like it in Indian cinema and praising actor Unni for his remarkable transformation from the calm character in 'Malikappuram' to the brutal role in 'Marco'. "Unni was just wonderful. I love that film," Vikram shared.

The actor is also open to exploring Malayalam cinema further. "If I get a good Malayalam film script, I’m definitely ready to be a part of Malayalam cinema," he said.

Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2, directed by S.U. Arun Kumar and produced by Riya Shibu, features Vikram as Kaali, a powerful character in a rural setting. The film also stars S.J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan, Siddique, and Prudhvi Raj.
