The anticipation surrounding Ranjith Sankar's latest venture, "Jai Ganesh," continues to build as the movie showcases a stellar ensemble cast featuring Unni Mukundan, Mahima Nambiar, and Jomol in prominent roles. In an exclusive interview with Mathrubhumi, the trio delved into the intricacies of the film and the personal and physical challenges they encountered in bringing their characters to life.

Unni Mukundan, portraying the character of Ganesh, a differently-abled ethical hacker, shared insights into the demanding nature of his role. Given that his character required him to navigate the story from a wheelchair, Mukundan revealed the physical toll it took on him. From restraining his legs to prevent movement, leading to blood clots, to gaining five kilogrammes in just ten days due to prolonged periods of sitting, Mukundan's commitment to his role shines through. Notably, the film abstained from utilising visual effects to enhance the portrayal.

Mukundan drew inspiration from his differently-abled childhood friend. He emphasised his desire to break stereotypes, aiming to depict differently-abled individuals as multifaceted and not solely defined by their disability.

For actress Jomol, "Jai Ganesh" marks a significant return to Malayalam cinema after a prolonged hiatus. Expressing her joy at being back on the screen, she credited the supportive crew for enabling her to deliver her best performance.

Mahima Nambiar also appears in the film in a lead role. News about how Mukundan blocked her is the talk of the town after the promotional events of the film.
