Dubai: Actor Unni Mukundan has defended his latest film 'Jai Ganesh' against allegations of political or religious bias, emphasizing that not a single dialogue in the movie aligns with any specific party or belief system. Mukundan made these remarks during a press conference held to mark the Gulf release of the film.
Addressing the media, Mukundan posed a rhetorical question: "Is it right to judge someone based solely on the name of a movie?" He urged the media to ponder this question, suggesting that individuals, including superstars, often hold their own political views without facing scrutiny, while others in the film industry become targets.
Unni said that all he did was to go and participate in the event when the Indian Prime Minister called him. Director Ranjith Sankar also attended the press conference, during which the success of the film was celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony.
