
At the highly anticipated teaser launch for L2E: Empuraan, actor Tovino Thomas revealed an intriguing hint about his character, Jathin Ramdas, sharing a combination scene with the legendary Mohanlal. Tovino, who portrayed Jathin in the first part of Lucifer, shared that in Empuraan, he finally gets the chance to share the screen with Mohanlal – something that was missing from the original film. Describing it as an interesting experience, Tovino expressed his excitement for the collaboration.
Mohanlal portrays the character of Stephen Nedumpally in Lucifer, who is also revealed to be known as Khureshi Abraam.

Speaking about his character in Lucifer, Tovino shared how he initially approached the role with little pressure despite the film’s massive success. “When I went to act, I was dedicating myself, the rest is your risk,” Tovino said, acknowledging the impact his portrayal of Jathin Ramdas had on his career. The actor expressed his eagerness for the release of Empuraan, hoping it would live up to the same level of excitement as the first film.

The excitement surrounding Empuraan, the eagerly awaited follow-up to Lucifer, continues to build. The first film made a huge impact, setting a new benchmark for commercial cinema in Malayalam. Produced by Lyca Productions, this film marks their entry into the Malayalam film industry. Shot over a span of 14 months across eight states and four countries, Empuraan boasts a star-studded cast including Manju Warrier, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrajith, Fazil, Saniya Iyyappan, Prithviraj, Nyla Usha, and Arjun Das.
The film also introduces international talent such as French actor Eriq Ebouaney and British actress Andrea Tivadar, adding a global touch to the film's appeal. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film's release in theatres on March 27.
