Malayalam survival thriller ‘The Goat Life’ will be available for streaming on Netflix from July 19. The OTT release date was announced through Prithviraj Sukumaran’s official Instagram handle on Sunday.

The release date post was captioned as ‘A story of courage, hope, and survival. Idhu Najeebinte athijeevana katha (this is Najeeb’s survival story).’

Aadujeevitham will be released on Netflix in five languages-  Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.’

The movie is based on the novel 'Aadujeevitham', one of the most popular best sellers ever from the Malayalam literary world, which has been translated into 12 different languages, including those that are foreign. Penned by noted writer Benyamin, and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, it follows the true story of Najeeb, a Malayali immigrant laborer who finds himself forced into slavery as a goat herd on a secluded farm in Saudi Arabia.

Produced by Visual Romance, Aadujeevitham also features Amala Paul, K R Gokul, as well as Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis and Arab actors Talib al Balushi and RikAby in pivotal roles.

Academy Award winners Rahman and Resul Pookutty have given music and sound design, respectively.
