New Delhi: Actor Rajat Bedi, who portrays Jaraj Saxena in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, has confirmed that a second season of the hit series is in development.

In an interview with News18, Rajat Bedi shared that Aryan Khan had personally approached him for the role. He recalled receiving a surprise call while in Canada, informing him that Aryan wanted to meet. He flew to Mumbai and met  Aryan in December 2022. “He was very sure that he wanted only me for the role,” Bedi said, adding that if he had declined, the character might not have existed in the show at all.

He described the meeting as a turning point: “He had me at hello. I was getting an opportunity to work with Shah Rukh Khan’s son on his first project. This show is going to go down in history.”

Reflecting on the series’ success, Bedi noted the shift in his career. “Suddenly, my life has taken a U-turn. I’m getting so much love from around the world. It feels like the rains are finally over and the sun is shining bright.”

The Ba**ds of Bollywood* features a star-studded cast including Lakshya, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Gautami Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, and Anya Singh. The show also includes cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Emraan Hashmi, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Karan Johar.
