He also revealed that Bharathchandran IPS—not the character’s original appearance in ‘Commissioner’, but in the eponymous sequel—was his favourite of all the roles his father had played in films

At the audio launch of JSK – Janaki vs State of Kerala, actor Madhav Suresh revealed that his favourite role played by his father, veteran actor Suresh Gopi, is Bharathchandran IPS—not the character’s original appearance in Commissioner, but the eponymous sequel. Speaking candidly, Madhav said the character held deep emotional and personal significance for him.
He went on to reflect on his journey into acting:
“The audience made my father a superstar. If they believe I have talent, maybe one day I’ll become a star too. I never dreamt of becoming an actor, but cinema found its way to me—perhaps because I am Suresh Gopi’s son. I accepted the opportunity out of respect.”
JSK, a courtroom thriller directed by PravIn Narayanan, sees Suresh Gopi in the role of a lawyer. The film is set for release on June 27.
The film also marks actor Anupama Parameswaran’s return to Malayalam cinema after a hiatus. Divya Pillai and Shruti Ramachandran are also part of the lead cast, with supporting roles by Askar Ali, Madhav Suresh, Baiju Santhosh, Joy Mathew, Jai Vishnu, Kottayam Ramesh, and others.
