This event also coincides with the 25th anniversary celebrations of Aashirvad Cinemas, the film’s production house. The first release under Aashirvad Cinemas, Narasimham, was released on January 26, 2000, marking a significant milestone for the company. Fans are also eagerly anticipating announcements regarding new films from Mohanlal during this occasion.
L2: Empuraan is touted to be one of the biggest Malayalam films ever. With a collaboration between Aashirvad Cinemas and the renowned Tamil banner, Lyca Productions, the film is poised to make waves across the industry.
RGV extends wishes
Meanwhile, veteran director Ram Gopal Varma, known for his candid remarks and unwavering honesty, has once again caught the attention of the film community with his praise for the teaser poster of L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Taking to X, Varma shared his thoughts on the poster, which was released alongside the announcement of the film's teaser launch.
On his social media, Varma expressed his admiration for the poster, stating, "Wow… I have never seen such a magnificent concept poster. This poster alone suggests that this will be a massive success." He also tagged Prithviraj in his post, further emphasising his excitement for the project. Varma had previously shared his high expectations for L2: Empuraan and had even visited the film’s location during its final schedule, showing his ongoing interest in the project.
