The highly anticipated teaser of 'L2: Empuraan' was released on Sunday. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and penned by Murali Gopi, the film is the much-awaited sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'Lucifer'. The grand teaser launch was made even more memorable by the presence of Malayalam cinema legend Mammootty, who unveiled the teaser to the excitement and cheers of fans.

Mohanlal's wife, Suchitra Mohanlal also celebrated the teaser launch of the much-awaited movie 'Empuraan'. The film, set to release on March 27, holds a special place in her heart for multiple reasons, and she's eagerly awaiting its debut. Talking about the movie, she mentioned that just discussing 'Empuraan' gives her goosebumps.

“This day, January 26, is particularly significant for me,” Suchitra shared.

“My father was a film producer, and he used to release films on this date. It’s always been a day full of joy for us. But it’s not just about the film’s release. It’s also my parents' wedding anniversary today."

Suchitra went on to recall that Aashirvad Cinemas', the production house founded by her husband Mohanlal's long-time associate Antony Perumbavoor, released its first film 'Narasimham' exactly 25 years ago on January 26.

Reflecting on this milestone, she added, "The success of Aashirvad Cinemas is thanks to the hard work and dedication of everyone in the Aashirvad family, including Antony Perumbavoor.”

When talking about 'Empuraan', Suchitra couldn’t contain her excitement.

“Prithviraj's talent and Murali’s brilliance brought us 'Lucifer'. Now, with these two coming together again for 'Empuraan', I’m sure they’ll take us deep into that world. Just talking about the movie gets me excited," she said.

She also mentioned that March 27, the day 'Empuraan' is set to release, is even more special for her, as it's her daughter’s birthday too.

“It’s going to be double happiness for me,” Suchitra said.
