The hit Netflix series 'Stranger Things' will wrap up with a two-hour theatrical finale, the first time any Netflix show has ever been released on the big screen.

Created by Matt and Ross Duffer, popularly known as the Duffer Brothers, the fifth and final season will comprise eight episodes, divided into three parts. The first volume premieres on November 26, followed by the second on December 25, with the grand finale titled 'The Rightside Up” releasing on December 31.

According to Variety, the concluding episode will also be screened in 350 movie theatres worldwide on the same day, marking a major cinematic milestone for a Netflix original series.

Set in the 1980s, 'Stranger Things' follows the eerie happenings in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, after a young girl with psychokinetic powers opens a gateway to a dark alternate dimension. The beloved horror-sci-fi saga stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, and Millie Bobby Brown as Jane Hopper.

Since its debut in 2016, the show has become a global pop culture phenomenon, with its mix of supernatural thrills, nostalgic ‘80s aesthetic, and emotional storytelling earning widespread acclaim across its four seasons released in 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022.
