Mumbai: Sonakshi Sinha recently shared touching moments from her wedding day on Instagram, revealing her mother Poonam Sinha's emotional reaction. She recounted how her mother started crying upon realising that Sonakshi would soon move out of their family home, Ramayan, after marrying Zaheer Iqbal.

In a heartfelt caption accompanying the photos with her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, Sonakshi wrote about the emotional moment at her wedding. "At the wedding, Maa started crying when it hit her that I would be moving out of the house. I told her, 'Maa, don't worry... Juhu to Bandra is only 25 minutes away,'" she shared.

Expressing her nostalgia and longing for her parents, Sonakshi added, "Missing them a little extra today, so I'm telling myself the exact same thing. Hope there's Sunday Sindhi curry made at home... See you soon... zoom zoom zoom."

Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot in a civil ceremony on June 23, followed by a glamorous celebration for friends and family at Shilpa Shetty’s renowned restaurant, Bastian. Shatrughan Sinha, proud of his daughter and son-in-law, described them as a "made for each other" couple in a social media post on July 2, thanking their well-wishers for their support.

In terms of her professional endeavours, Sonakshi will soon be seen in 'Kakuda', a horror comedy set in a cursed village in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district. The film revolves around a peculiar ritual mandating the opening of a dummy door in every house every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Failure to comply leads to repercussions from Kakuda, who targets the male heads of households.

Sonakshi's latest outing was in the series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar', and her upcoming role in 'Kakuda' alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem promises to offer audiences an intriguing blend of horror and comedy against a backdrop of supernatural elements.
