Jung Ji-woo, entrepreneur and elder sister of BTS member J-Hope, has strongly condemned the intrusive online commentary and rumours about her personal life, particularly relating to pregnancy and miscarriage. In a series of pointed messages shared via Instagram Stories, the influencer called out the baseless speculation and inappropriate questions being directed at her.

The backlash began after Ji-woo came across a comment under one of her recent Instagram posts that read, “Aren’t you pregnant? Or you lost the baby? There is no bump and you are wearing tight clothes and doing exercise,” followed by a sad emoji. Though the comment was later deleted, Ji-woo responded to it with visible frustration.

“Was about to reply, but the comment disappeared. We’re trying for a baby, but there’s nothing to share yet. Still, I’m honestly shocked that someone I don’t even know could ask such a personal and inappropriate question about our private life. Even my close friends wouldn’t go there,” she wrote.

Ji-woo further criticised the spread of false narratives, expressing concern over how quickly rumours have escalated. “When did I ever say ‘I’m pregnant’? I’ve said nothing, but some people here are making up stories like they’re confirmed facts. Now it’s gone from ‘she’s pregnant’ to ’she had a miscarriage’ to ‘she’s out drinking’? Seriously?”

She concluded her statement by urging for respect and boundaries: “I’ve been ignoring it because it’s so far from the truth, but it’s getting out of hand. Show some respect, please.”

Ji-woo, who married an entrepreneur in 2021, has generally kept her personal life away from public attention despite her high profile as an influencer and businesswoman. Earlier this year, in a candid conversation with her younger brother J-Hope, she had expressed her desire to start a family. The moment was warmly received by fans, with J-Hope saying, “If it’s a nephew, I anticipate having so much fun with him,” and adding that he would “spoil a niece with gifts.”
