Actress and fitness advocate Shilpa Shetty has once again sparked a conversation around mindful fitness, sharing a new yoga video on social media while also cautioning women against performing inverted poses during menstruation. The actor highlighted the importance of listening to the body and practicing exercise safely.

In her latest Instagram post, Shilpa is seen demonstrating an advanced inverted yoga pose on a pink mat, showcasing her flexibility, balance, and core strength. Dressed in black activewear, the Dhadkan actress executed the posture with precision while explaining its health benefits.

She described the pose as a step closer to improving both physical and mental flexibility, while also listing several benefits linked to the practice.

What are the benefits of this yoga pose

Shilpa shared that the variation of the pose may help:

  • Improve blood circulation to the brain
  • Stimulate thyroid and parathyroid glands
  • Strengthen neck, shoulders, and core muscles
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Support digestion and enhance skin glow

However, she also issued a clear health warning, advising people with high blood pressure, heart conditions, glaucoma, neck injuries, or slipped disc issues to avoid the pose.

Importantly, she emphasised that women should avoid inverted yoga practices during menstruation, stressing the need for body awareness and safe training practices.

The actor has long been a vocal advocate of healthy living, yoga, and balanced nutrition. Through her social media platforms, she regularly shares workout routines and wellness tips, encouraging fans to adopt consistency over intensity.

Earlier, on National Exercise Day, she posted a workout montage featuring yoga, Pilates, and strength training. She highlighted that fitness is not about perfection but about showing up regularly, even on difficult days.

Her message focused on discipline and mental strength, urging followers to stay consistent with their fitness journey under her popular tag #SwasthRahoMastRaho.

At 50, Shilpa continues to remain one of Bollywood’s most visible wellness influencers, promoting holistic health and sustainable fitness habits.
