Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol recreated iconic DDLJ moments at Filmfare Awards 2025

The Filmfare Awards 2025 turned into a walk down memory lane when Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol shared the stage once again, proving why they remain one of Bollywood’s most beloved on-screen pairs. While Shah Rukh’s comeback as host made headlines, it was his heartwarming reunion with Kajol that truly stole the night.
Kajol appeared on stage to present an award when the lights dimmed and the stage suddenly filled with sunflowers and dancers. Moments later, Shah Rukh Khan made a dramatic entrance to the iconic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge track Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jaana Sanam.
In a moment straight out of the classic film, Shah Rukh danced his way to Kajol, ending with a charming gesture, going down on one knee and handing her a rose. The audience erupted in applause as the pair recreated one of Bollywood’s most loved scenes.
Keeping the nostalgia alive, the duo then danced to Ye Ladki Hai Deewani from ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. The film’s director and the evening’s co-host, Karan Johar, was seen cheering from the sidelines as fans relived the golden era of the 90s on stage.
Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol looked every bit the timeless stars they are. The actor was dapper in a classic black tuxedo, while Kajol exuded grace in a stunning black saree.
Fans react with pure emotion
Social media erupted with posts celebrating the reunion of Bollywood’s favourite duo. One fan wrote, “The chemistry between Kajol & Shah Rukh Khan isn't just acting — it's pure magic that defined an era. From DDLJ to K3G, no pair could ever recreate that effortless charm and emotion. Bollywood's timeless duo.”
Another user posted, “We see so many ships being compared with them but trust me they don't come remotely close to them. These are the standards and they will be the standard. Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol are the unparalleled standard for on-screen couples.”
A nostalgic viewer simply said, “Whole childhood in a frame,” while another added, “Their chemistry never faded even after ages. It's timeless and still as magical as ever!”
Reacting to a tender moment when Shah Rukh, Kajol, and Karan Johar hugged on stage, one user shared, “The love Shah Rukh, Kajol and Karan have for each other is so unadulterated. This trio hug took me back in time.”
Kajol was last seen in the JioCinema film ‘Sarzameen’, directed by Kayoze Irani. Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, is gearing up for his next project ‘King’, in which he stars alongside Deepika Padukone.
