Music director Shaan Rahman and his wife have issued an official statement addressing the fraud allegations brought against them by Niju Raj Abraham. The dispute stems from a breach of contract related to the UYIRE – Shaan Rahman Live in Concert, held on January 25 in Kochi.

“We wish to address recent misleading statements circulating about the UYIRE – Shaan Rahman Live in Concert, held on January 25... During the event’s planning, we encountered several challenges, including a dispute involving Mr. Niju Raj Abraham (Aurora Entertainments). A complaint was filed, and a case is currently under investigation at the Ernakulam South Police Station. From the beginning, we have maintained transparency and cooperated fully with law enforcement. We remain committed to professionalism, integrity, and the legal process," their statement read.

The music director and his wife further clarified their position, stressing that while the legal process is ongoing, Niju Abraham has been making false and misleading statements to the public and media, attempting to manipulate the narrative and distract from the core issues at hand.

"We strongly refute these claims and stand firm in our commitment to the truth... We believe this is solely done to manipulate and settle the case. Our legal team is actively addressing the matter. We have full faith in the judicial system," they added.

The dispute arose when Niju Raj Abraham, who was responsible for directing the live concert, filed a complaint stating that Shaan Rahman had failed to pay him for his work in organising the event. According to the complaint, Rahman had promised to pay Niju after receiving funds from the online ticket sales. However, despite the concert generating over Rs. 38 lakh in ticket sales, Abraham claims the payment was never made.

In his statement, Rahman reiterated the importance of presenting facts clearly and respectfully. "We value the trust placed in us by our audience, team, and partners. It is our responsibility to present the facts clearly and respectfully. We urge the media and public to avoid speculation based on one-sided narratives. Please await further updates, which we will share through appropriate legal and official channels."
