Actor Santhosh Keezhattoor has raised serious concerns over the reckless driving practices of some private and KSRTC bus drivers in Kerala. In an open letter to the state's Chief Minister and Transport Minister, the actor condemned the reckless driving of buses, describing certain drivers as "psycho killers" who operate with no regard for human life.

In a post shared on his Facebook handle, Keezhattoor recounted a harrowing journey from Taliparamba to Kannur on a private bus. He revealed that he narrowly escaped a fatal accident due to the extreme speed and carelessness of the driver. “Whether it was sheer luck, my parents’ prayers, or some miracle, I don’t know—but I narrowly escaped a fatal accident,” he wrote.

While acknowledging that many bus employees perform their duties responsibly, he noted that the reckless behavior of a few tarnishes their reputation.

“This letter isn’t an accusation against all bus employees. There are many who do their jobs responsibly. But a few psycho staff members bring disrepute to the rest. They must be brought before the law,” Keezhattoor urged.

Calling for improvements in public transportation, the actor emphasized that the government must prioritize safety and better facilities for ordinary citizens. He called for an end to buses engaging in competitive racing under the pretext of time constraints.

“This is a plea from an ordinary person who wishes to use public transportation, see the people around them, and experience the world,” Keezhattoor concluded.
