Just days after actress Nidhhi Agerwal was jostled and mishandled by fans at a song launch for The Raja Saab, another troubling incident has occurred involving a female star. On Sunday, Samantha Ruth Prabhu faced a similar chaotic situation when she attended a public event in Hyderabad, with an overwhelming crowd making her movement nearly impossible.

Videos circulating widely on social media show Samantha trying to make her way from the stage to her vehicle. Fans rushed toward her, with some stepping on her saree, forcing her team and security to clear a path. Despite the chaos, Samantha remained composed, smiling throughout as she was escorted safely to her car.

The incident has sparked strong reactions online, with many criticising the lack of civic sense among attendees. Others also called out the event organisers and celebrity management teams for failing to manage the crowd effectively.

Pattern of dangerous crowds

Following Nidhhi Agerwal’s incident, police officials had stated that investigations would focus on crowd control measures and safety arrangements at public events. One viral video from Nidhhi’s event shows her visibly distressed, clutching her dupatta while security personnel struggled to push back the crowd.

Such incidents are not isolated. Over the years, fans’ obsession with celebrities has led to chaotic situations at Allu Arjun events in Hyderabad, Virat Kohli and RCB matches in Bangalore, and Vijay rallies in Tamil Nadu, sometimes even resulting in injuries or loss of lives. Despite repeated warnings, the extreme enthusiasm of some fans continues to create safety risks for stars.

Personal and professional update

On the personal front, Samantha recently married filmmaker Raj Nidimoru on December 1 in an intimate ceremony at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. She shared glimpses of the event through a heartfelt social media post.

Professionally, Samantha is collaborating once again with Raj & DK on the upcoming series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
