Kochi: Film producer Saji Nanthyattu has resigned from the position of general secretary of the Kochi Film Chamber. The resignation follows internal disagreements with certain members of the organisation's leadership.

Saji alleged that some individuals submitted false complaints to prevent him from contesting for the post of Chamber president. He further claimed that a conspiracy was being orchestrated against him and that his support for Sandra Thomas had led to opposition from certain quarters.

Saji Nanthyattu had supported Sandra Thomas during the controversies surrounding the Producers’ Association elections. His public statements following the rejection of Sandra’s nomination reportedly caused dissatisfaction among some members.
