
The classic romantic film "Veer Zaara" has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing Rs 100 crore at the global box office during its re-release. Originally released in 2004, the film was re-released on the 13th of this month in selected theatres across India.
Upon its initial release, "Veer Zaara" grossed Rs 61 crore in India and Rs 37 crore internationally. In its re-release, it garnered an additional Rs 2.5 crore, pushing its total earnings into the Rs 100 crore club, now moving into its second week.
Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Yash Chopra, "Veer Zaara" stars Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, alongside notable actors Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Manoj Bajpayee, Boman Irani, Kirron Kher, Anupam Kher, and Divya Dutta. The film tells the poignant story of an Indian soldier in love with a Pakistani woman, navigating the complexities of their relationship amidst political tensions.
With music composed by Madan Mohan, "Veer Zaara" remains a cherished classic in Indian cinema.
