From Raj to Kabir, from heartbreak to blockbuster action, PVR INOX is bringing Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic films back to theatres for two weeks in honour of his 60th birthday.

As Shah Rukh Khan prepares to celebrate his 60th birthday on November 2, PVR INOX is honouring the superstar with a special two-week film festival, celebrating the actor’s decades-long contribution to Indian cinema. Starting October 31, the festival will run across 75 cinemas in more than 30 cities, showcasing some of the most beloved films from the King of Bollywood’s illustrious career.
The festival is billed as a cinematic love letter to Shah Rukh Khan, allowing fans to relive the magic of his iconic performances. From romantic classics like ‘Dil Se’ and ‘Devdas’ to contemporary blockbusters like ‘Jawan’, the line-up promises to bring audiences back into the world of SRK’s unforgettable characters.
A line-up of beloved films
The curated selection includes:
- ‘Chennai Express’, where Shah Rukh’s comic timing meets Rohit Shetty’s trademark action.
- ‘Devdas’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s opulent tale of tragic love.
- ‘Dil Se’, a passionate story of rebellion and romance.
- ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na’, the charming story of a young man navigating love through playful deception.
- ‘Main Hoon Na’, blending patriotism, friendship, and quintessential Bollywood drama.
- ‘Om Shanti Om’, a reincarnation saga steeped in nostalgia.
- ‘Jawan’, his latest blockbuster demonstrating why SRK continues to dominate both mass and heart.
For fans, the festival is more than a nostalgic trip; it is an opportunity to reconnect with iconic moments in Indian cinema, from Raj’s heartfelt gestures to Kabir Khan’s stirring motivational lines and Om’s unforgettable declaration, “Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost.”
Festival announcement and social media buzz
The announcement was made on social media by PVR Cinemas on Friday. The post featured a silhouette of Shah Rukh’s signature wide-arm pose with posters of his films below. The caption read: “Decades of charm. Endless emotions. One legend. Celebrate the films that defined generations – the Shah Rukh Khan Film Festival starts Oct 31! Stay tuned for more details.”
Earlier this year, in March, PVR INOX had also hosted a similar birthday celebration for actor Aamir Khan, marking his films with a dedicated festival.
Upcoming celebrations and milestones
The festival coincides with several milestones for SRK’s career. ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, the film that catapulted him to national fame, will celebrate its 30th anniversary on October 20. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is also preparing for his upcoming action film ‘King’, continuing his streak of high-profile projects.
