Director Vignesh Shivan’s much-awaited romantic entertainer, ‘Love Insurance Kompany’, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Krithi Shetty, is all set for a grand release on September 18 this year. The announcement was made by the makers on Monday, setting the stage for a ‘festival of love’ at the cinemas.

Nayanthara backing the project

The film is produced by actor Nayanthara, who is also Vignesh Shivan’s wife. Seven Screen Studio, which is presenting the film, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a special video clip, writing:

"This SEPTEMBER 18th, come and celebrate the festival of LOVE in theatres."

Meanwhile, Vignesh Shivan posted on Instagram:

"LIK from September 18th. Need all your blessings, love & support."

A labour of love

Earlier in April, the director had shared that the post-production work was underway, thanking his team for their passion and hard work.

"Abundance of passion, love, honesty and hard work from each and everyone has built #LoveInsuranceKompany. Every day of shoot had a lot of challenges! But we never forgot to have a smile and also enjoy the process," Vignesh wrote.

He added that without the team’s efforts, the magic they aimed for wouldn’t have been possible.

"Without compromising even for one frame, we are proud that we have put in our best efforts to make an original, fresh entertaining movie," he said, announcing that post-production had officially kicked off.

Festival release locked

Vignesh had earlier hinted that they were aiming for a festive release to make it a true celebration for fans and families alike. And now, it’s official — September 18 it is!

Star-studded cast and crew

Apart from Pradeep and Krithi, Love Insurance Kompany also stars S J Suryah and Gouri Kishen in key roles. The film brings together a powerhouse technical team too — with stunning visuals by ace cinematographer Ravivarman and music by the much-loved Anirudh. Pradeep Ragav handles editing duties while action scenes have been choreographed by none other than Peter Hein.
