People warned that making a film with Unni would push me to the verge of suicide, says producer

Kochi: At a time when film producers are locked in disputes over issues such as actors' remuneration, producer Sam George Abraham has publicly praised actor Unni Mukundan for his professionalism and character. In a social media post, Sam George described Unni Mukundan as a rare personality in the film industry.  

Sam George Abraham, the co-producer of the film Get-Set Baby, highlighted how the actor stood by the production team without any starry airs whenever the film faced challenges during its shooting. He remarked that such support from actors is uncommon in the Malayalam film industry.

The producer also revealed that many people had warned him against making a film with Unni Mukundan in the lead role, suggesting that it would result in financial loss and even push him to the verge of suicide. However, Sam George stated that his experience working with the actor was one of the best he had ever had

His remarks have come at a time when the Malayalam film industry is witnessing tensions between actors and producers over payment disputes and other production-related challenges.
