Priyadarshan, the director of Hera Pheri 3, says he is committed solely to Akshay Kumar and doesn’t involve himself in industry politics

Actor Paresh Rawal's decision to walk out of director Priyadarshan's upcoming Bollywood film 'Hera Pheri 3' has sparked a lot of controversy.
Following this, Akshay Kumar's production company, which is producing the film, sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal, which led to a huge controversy. After this, Paresh clarified that he would act in the film.
Now, director Priyadarshan has responded to the controversy.
In an interview with Hindusthan Times, he said, “I am living in South India, whenever a film is signed, I will go to shoot it. I am only committed to Akshay Kumar to do this film (as a maker), I don’t know anybody else.”
He made it clear that he doesn't believe in politics in cinema. "You won't see a single comment of mine on the whole issue till today. I don't believe in the politics of cinema.
He also mentioned that he shares a good relationship with actors Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar, and Paresh Rawal, who were key members of the first two instalments of Hera Pheri.
He also revealed that “there was a difference of opinion between them” and the issue had been sorted out.
"Akshay, Paresh and Sunil told me we all discussed and have decided to do the film; it has nothing to do with any other individual. Somebody is saying so and so is involved, but there's nothing. To the best of my knowledge, the three actors decided to do the film and informed me," Priyadarshan added.
Paresh Rawal was supposed to play the character of Baburao. 'Hera Pheri' was a remake of the Malayalam film 'Ramji Rao Speaking', which was released in 2000.
