
Suresh Gopi, actor and Union Minister, paid a visit to Kuruvachan, the inspiration behind the lead character in the upcoming film Ottakomban. The film's screenplay is based on the life of Kuruvinakunnel Kuruvachan. In light of this connection, Suresh Gopi met him at his home in Edamattom, Kottayam.
Suresh Gopi visited Kuruvachan's residence while the minister was in Pala, Kottayam, to attend several functions. Kuruvachan has been resting at home due to health issues. He, along with his wife, Mariamma, and daughter, Rose Mary, welcomed Suresh Gopi. BJP leader Biju Pulickakandam, a close friend of both Kuruvachan and Suresh Gopi, was also present during the meeting.

Speaking about the film, Suresh Gopi stated that shooting would commence as soon as he receives permission from the cabinet to act in the movie. Kuruvachan also expressed his desire to see Suresh Gopi play the role of Jose Kuruvinakunnel, the character based on his life. He further hoped that the wait for the official approval would not be prolonged.
Meanwhile, Kuruvachan has approached the court, demanding compensation for the alleged distortion of events in another film based on his life.
