
Kochi: Mollywood actor Nivin Pauly has lodged a formal complaint, demanding an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment raised against him by a woman, with the Chief Minister, Culture Minister, Director General of Police (DGP) and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) looking into the case. He has also enclosed evidence to refute the allegations.
In his complaint, Pauly argued that the allegations are false and claimed it to be the result of some conspiracy. He has provided some evidence, including a copy of his passport, to prove that he was in Kerala for the shoot of a movie on the said dates when the alleged incident took place, and that he has not travelled abroad.
The complaint against Pauly was lodged by a young woman, resident of Oonnukal in Ernakulam, who alleged to have been sexually harassed after being offered an acting opportunity. The Oonnukal Police has registered a case based on the complaint, naming Pauly as the sixth accused along with five others.
Following the allegations, Pauly held a press conference to publicly deny the claims. He repeated his commitment to legal action, asserting his determination to clear his name and uncover any potential conspiracy behind the accusations.
He maintained that the allegation against him was false. Nivin also stated that he would move forward with legal proceedings and will fight till the end to bring out the truth and prove his innocence.
